Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition

RPGOpen WorldShooter
8.5/10

What I liked

The combination of a beautiful open world and huge robotic machines immediately made the game interesting. Learning how to fight each machine was one of my favorite parts.

What I didn't like

Some side activities and human enemy encounters aren't as interesting as fighting the machines.

Story

The story starts with a lot of questions about Aloy and what happened to the old world. Finding those answers made me want to continue. The unusual premise develops into a surprisingly strong story.

Combat & Gameplay

Machine combat is excellent. You need to learn their weak points, use different weapons and decide how you're going to attack instead of just shooting everything the same way.

Exploration & Open World

The world has many different environments, ruins and machines to discover, and I enjoyed exploring outside the main missions.

Who I Recommend It To

Players who enjoy open-world RPGs, science fiction, exploration and tactical combat.

Final Thoughts

A great open-world RPG with a strong story and some of my favorite machine combat.
