MY REVIEW • 53.6 HOURS PLAYED
Days Gone
What I liked
I really enjoyed the open world, motorcycle, survival feeling, and fighting the Freakers. Riding across the map on your bike makes the game feel different from most zombie games.
What I didn't like
Some missions can become repetitive, and having to constantly think about fuel for the motorcycle can sometimes become annoying when you just want to get somewhere.
Story
Deacon's search for his wife gives the story a personal reason to keep going. The story takes some time to develop, but I became more interested in the characters and what happened as I continued playing.
Combat & Gameplay
Fighting normal groups of Freakers is fun, but the hordes are where the game really becomes exciting. Seeing a huge number of Freakers running after you completely changes how you fight because you have to use weapons, explosives and the environment to survive.
Exploration & Open World
I enjoyed riding around the Pacific Northwest, upgrading my motorcycle and discovering different areas. The motorcycle really becomes part of the whole experience rather than just transportation.
Who I Recommend It To
Players who enjoy open-world zombie games, survival, exploration and large battles.
Final Thoughts
One of the better open-world zombie games I've played, especially when you start dealing with the huge hordes.
