Torchlight II

RPGStory RichAction
7.5/10

What I liked

I liked constantly finding new weapons, armor and equipment and seeing my character become stronger. The loot and character progression give you a reason to keep playing.

What I didn't like

After enough hours, the basic cycle of fighting enemies, collecting loot and moving to the next area becomes repetitive.

Story

The story gives you a reason to continue through the different areas, but it wasn't really the main reason I played. Character progression and finding better equipment were more important to me.

Combat & Gameplay

There are different classes, skills and builds, so you have plenty of ways to develop your character. Fighting large groups and then checking all the equipment they dropped can become addictive.

Exploration & Open World

There are plenty of areas, dungeons and enemies to discover, although exploration is mostly connected to fighting and finding better loot.

Final Thoughts

A good action RPG with satisfying progression and lots of loot. I enjoyed developing my character, although the gameplay eventually became repetitive.
