Alien: Isolation
What I liked
The atmosphere is amazing. The game constantly makes you feel like you're being hunted, and hearing the Alien moving somewhere nearby can be more frightening than actually seeing it.
What I didn't like
The game can feel a little too long, and there were parts where the constant tension started becoming exhausting rather than scary.
Story
Playing as Amanda Ripley and searching for information about what happened to her mother gave me a reason to keep moving forward even when I really didn't want to enter the next room.
Combat & Gameplay
What I really liked is that you aren't some powerful character who can simply kill everything. A lot of the time the smartest option is to hide, distract the Alien or find another way around.
Exploration & Open World
The station is dark, detailed and feels like it belongs in the Alien universe. Exploring it while knowing something could be nearby creates an incredible atmosphere.
Final Thoughts
One of the best survival horror experiences I've played. The atmosphere and the Alien itself create a level of tension that very few games manage to achieve.
