MY REVIEW • 65.5 HOURS PLAYED
Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT
What I liked
The world, sword combat and atmosphere are amazing. Riding across the island and seeing the fields, forests and mountains makes exploring enjoyable even when you're not doing a mission.
What I didn't like
Some open-world activities start becoming repetitive after doing them many times.
Story
Jin's struggle between fighting as a samurai and doing whatever is necessary to save his home makes the story interesting. I wanted to keep playing to see what would happen to him and the people around him.
Combat & Gameplay
Sword fighting is one of my favorite parts. Changing stances for different enemies, parrying attacks and fighting groups makes combat feel skillful and satisfying. Stealth gives you another option when you don't want to attack directly.
Exploration & Open World
Tsushima is one of those game worlds where I actually wanted to explore instead of only moving from mission marker to mission marker.
Who I Recommend It To
Players who enjoy open worlds, samurai combat, stealth, exploration and a strong story.
Final Thoughts
A beautiful open-world game with excellent sword combat and a strong samurai story.
