Fallout: New Vegas
What I liked
The freedom and choices are what make New Vegas special. You can deal with quests in different ways, support different factions and make decisions that actually affect how people react to you.
What I didn't like
The game definitely shows its age. The graphics, animations and combat aren't as smooth as newer Fallout games, and there can be technical issues.
Story
The main conflict around Hoover Dam becomes much more interesting because you aren't simply told who the good guys and bad guys are. Different factions have their own reasons for wanting control, and you get to decide who you support.
Combat & Gameplay
The shooting feels older than Fallout 4, but V.A.T.S., different weapons and character builds still give you plenty of ways to play.
Exploration & Open World
The Mojave has a lot of interesting locations and side quests. Some of the best parts of the game come from leaving the main story and seeing what you discover.
Comparison
I prefer Fallout 4 overall, especially its combat, graphics and building systems, but New Vegas gives you more interesting choices and more freedom in how you influence the story.
Final Thoughts
A great Fallout RPG where choices and factions are the biggest strengths. It shows its age, but the freedom it gives you is still impressive.
