What I liked
The hacking system gives the open-world gameplay something different. Being able to manipulate cameras, traffic lights and other parts of the city gives you additional ways to approach situations.
What I didn't like
The world and missions can become repetitive, and I didn't connect with the characters as much as I have in some other open-world games.
Story
Aiden's personal revenge story is darker and more serious than I expected. It works, although the gameplay was more interesting to me than the characters.
Combat & Gameplay
Combining shooting, stealth and hacking is where the game works best. Hacking cameras and dealing with enemies without immediately starting a gunfight can be satisfying.
Exploration & Open World
Chicago is a good-sized open world with plenty to do, although many of the optional activities eventually start feeling similar.
Final Thoughts
A good open-world game with an interesting hacking system, but repetitive activities and a story I didn't connect with enough kept it at a 7.
