Subnautica
What I liked
Exploration is what makes Subnautica so good. Every time I went deeper into the ocean, I wanted to know what was down there. Finding new creatures, resources and locations gives you a real reason to keep exploring.
What I didn't like
Inventory and resource management can sometimes become annoying, especially when you're trying to build something and realize you're missing one material.
Story
I liked the way the story doesn't just explain everything to you immediately. You discover what happened by exploring, finding information and slowly going deeper into the world.
Combat & Gameplay
At first you're just trying to survive and find basic resources. Later you're building equipment and vehicles that allow you to go deeper and reach places that were impossible before.
Exploration & Open World
This is easily the best part. The deeper you go, the more dangerous and interesting the ocean becomes. There were times when I wanted to keep exploring but also wasn't sure I wanted to find out what was swimming below me.
Building & Customization
Building your own underwater base is a lot of fun. It gives you somewhere that actually feels like home while you're exploring a world where almost everything outside can become dangerous.
Who I Recommend It To
Anyone who enjoys exploration, survival, crafting and games that don't constantly tell you exactly where to go.
Final Thoughts
One of the best exploration and survival games I've played. The feeling of discovering something new underwater is what makes it special.
