What I liked
The original Half-Life design is still interesting, especially the combination of shooting, exploration, puzzles and environmental storytelling.
What I didn't like
Even with the Source version, this is an old game and parts of the graphics, movement and overall presentation feel dated today.
Story
The Black Mesa setting and the way the game moves between exploration, combat and puzzles helped make Half-Life different from many traditional shooters.
Final Thoughts
An important and enjoyable FPS, but age definitely affects the experience today. For me, 7/10.
