MY REVIEW • 29.4 HOURS PLAYED
Deus Ex: Human Revolution
What I liked
I liked having different ways to complete missions. You can use stealth, hacking, combat or look for another route instead of always going directly through the enemies.
What I didn't like
Some parts can feel slow, especially when you're spending a lot of time sneaking around or searching for another path. The game also shows its age in a few areas.
Story
The story about human augmentation and technology is interesting and gives the game a different feeling from a normal shooter.
Combat & Gameplay
Having different augmentations gives you freedom to build Adam Jensen around how you want to play. I liked being able to decide whether I wanted to fight, sneak past enemies or hack my way into another area.
Exploration & Open World
Searching the environment is worth doing because you can discover alternate routes, vents, computers and information that you would completely miss if you just followed the main objective.
Final Thoughts
A very good sci-fi RPG with plenty of freedom in how you approach missions. I liked having options instead of the game forcing me to solve every situation the same way.
