MY REVIEW • 140.7 HOURS PLAYED
METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN
What I liked
The amount of freedom the game gives you is excellent. You can approach missions with stealth, weapons, different equipment, and companions, and there isn't only one correct way to complete an objective.
What I didn't like
The biggest problem is repetition. After enough hours, you start returning to familiar locations and doing similar objectives.
Combat & Gameplay
Stealth is where the game is at its best. Planning how to enter an enemy base, marking enemies, and deciding whether to sneak through or fight gives the gameplay a lot of freedom.
Building & Customization
Developing Mother Base, recruiting soldiers, and unlocking new weapons and equipment gives you another reason to keep completing missions.
Who I Recommend It To
Players who enjoy stealth games and like having freedom in how they complete missions.
Final Thoughts
Excellent stealth and freedom of approach, held back somewhat by repetition.
